Binahong leaves are plants that have great potential as antihyperglycemics, and chemical content including triterpenoids, flavonoids, saponins. However, the development of binahong in pharmaceutical preparations is still very lacking. Objectives this study knowing transdermal patch formulation leaf extract (BLE) produces good physical properties BLE patches with different concentrations may blood glucose lower (BGL) levels glucose-induced mice. This uses a single-layer because it has advantage being able to penetrate faster suitable for compounds solubility polar solvents. The research began extraction leaves, then formulated using formula includes HPMC (polymer), glycerol (plasticizer), oleic acid (enhancer) tween 80 (enhancer). Diabetic rats were divided into 4 groups 6 rats, negative control group (glucose + placebo), positive insulin), FI (glucose+ 30%), FII 47%). BGL measurements carried out on 0th, 3rd, 5th, 7th days. characterization organoleptic, weight uniformity, thickness, pH, folding resistance, moisture content, obtained results meet requirements set by each test standard. ( mg/dL) from day 1 7 decreased group, (68.8±3.76), (112.5±6.89), (81.0±4.04), (72.33±5.12). Based statistical T-test evaluation there significant differences thickness but no power, humidity tests. administration 47% provides insignificant reduction effect compared 30% patch.
